Avantages

Most coworkers are caring, family business, employees take good care of our customers and most people work hard

Inconvénients

Management and VPs don’t listen to associates, leadership makes sure you know your place, hybrid work policy with three days in office being pushed without considering impacts to persons with young children, women and people of color. Entry level employees have no influence on direction of company. Leadership VPs park up front in special spots and often hides in offices behind closed doors and they are not inclusive. Leadership also does not share important info for doing our job and everything is a secret.

As you know, in holding ourselves to a higher standard, we encourage each other to engage candidly so that we hear alternate perspectives – whether that’s via a conversation with your manager or through our internal channels. We also understand that change can be difficult, especially, when it is first presented. Standard Textile is committed to creating an inclusive work environment that helps our associates – and our organization – thrive. In fact, even prior to the pandemic, we rolled out a flexible working arrangement policy providing associates more options as to where they work. Now, as hybrid work has evolved, we are looking to strike the right balance of flexibility that supports both collaboration and focus time while allowing better alignment across the organization. In considering the impact on our associates of shifting from two in-office days to three, we have built time in before it goes into effect to allow associates the opportunity to make arrangements. We value your input as we continue to refine our policies.

Avantages

Coworkers are the only thing that makes it bearable, they are great.

Inconvénients

This place has been going downhill fast for at least the past 5 years. Management drives good employees off by treating them poorly and failing to acknowledge hard work, they are rewarded with more work and no reward. Mediocre employees seem to get more accolades bc they are not a “threat” to management. I can’t tell you how many hard workers who have left or are actively looking to leave because of poor management. Raises and promotions are minimal if at all so most positions are dead end jobs with little opportunity for advancement. This used to be a place where employees had long careers, but they are paying new employees substantially more so the employees that know the business and do a good job are leaving. There seems to be no desire for employee retention and everyone is disposable. The office politics are blantently evident. Promotions are based on friendships over merit. There is currently an office relationship of two upper level officials that is very unprofessional but HR will not enforce their own rules. The HR department is horrible, they are only there to protect management and do not care about the mistreatment of their employees. If you bring an issue to HR you are the problem, you might as well just find another job than try to address it with HR.
