When I joined StackPath, I noticed several reviews on Glassdoor that indicated a history of mismanagement and "restructuring" initiatives. However, I was told that the company was turning a page in its history with new people, support for its investors, etc. that would be very exciting to be part of. I quickly discovered that "restructuring" is just what they do when they want to blame an individual or group of employees for their mismanagement, lack of direction and focus, etc. When your potential manager or member of the c-suite mentions to you that could be part of the "start of something big," you should know that they've "started something big" several times only to fail, change direction, and then placed the blame on whomever they can to save their skins. The truth is that entire teams are hired and eliminated from StackPath regularly. You can be the most amazing tech-savvy person and still get eliminated for a variety of "reasons," but especially when they hire someone who feels like you're too much competition to their career aspirations and ego. During my time at StackPath, I met several amazing people who were let go very suddenly with no warning or explanation. Their CEO preaches team unity and caring, especially around COVID, but only does so to seem like the amazing leader he truly is not in any way, shape, or form. Do not waste your time, career, or sanity on this company.
