Communication is nowhere to be found. Being ghosted by your own manager is daily business here. There are no clear expectations and their opinion (higher management) switches every day. When you ask them for more training/feedback it never comes or they tell you you’re doing a great job and one month later it turns out ‘it is not up to standard yet’ without providing a foundation for said things. I felt like they did not like me personally and tried to get me out of the company…. Which eventually they succeded in.
Area management is useless as they do nothing but drive around visiting stores and chatting in the back for hours. No interaction with store team other than ‘how are you’, you had to be lucky to even get a hello.
In general it feels like it’s a popularity game here. The better you are with the area manager the better ur chances are.
It’s very normal to go into a burnout here. Multiple store managers but also assistant managers were at home having a burnout. And that in the same area!
