Avantages
When I started working at Rippling I was looking for a new challenge. Many people warned me about startup life, but it's been almost two years and I still love it! Some of the pros are: -Culture: Rippling provides positive and fun ways for us to get together (online during the pandemic) for personal and professional development activities. For example, we just concluded a 3 week step and activity team challenge to get people off their desks and out for some fresh air. -People: All the people I've met since I started working at Rippling are great! It doesn't matter what your title is, everybody is happy to help if you have an issue. "Never not my problem" is one of our values and is not just a phrase. Furthermore, we hire well: smart people with diverse backgrounds, who want our company to succeed. In particular, I love my team! In fact, we have non-work meetings weekly because we enjoy each others' company. -No micromanagement: At Rippling you are empowered to manage your own projects and challenge the status quo, if you feel things should be done differently. Your opinion is as good as your manager's. -Work life balance: Coming from the non-tech world I had this idea of startups being all work and no life. I was extremely pleased when I realized I could have normal hours, no work on weekends or nights. My manager is also very attentive to this topic and even reminds me every now and then that things can wait until the morning. -Executives: The Executives at Rippling are all super knowledgeable and care about the company and the well being of their employees. For example, with the pandemic hitting India very hard, they instituted a day off a week for people in India, so they can take care of their family and loved ones. They also established boundaries (in general) about when meetings can be scheduled, so to keep in consideration the time difference between the US and India.
