People work hard at Ripple, but there is remarkably little to show for it. Priorities shift constantly, and accountability is weak because every new fire drill instantly becomes the top priority, pushing everything else to the sidelines.
Middle management seems more focused on building their own visibility with leadership and advancing their careers than on leading teams. Too much energy goes into managing up, and not enough into providing clarity, setting priorities, or solving the problems teams regularly raise. There is very little transparency, and teams are often left operating without the context they need.
After spending enough time in this cycle, most employees find themselves asking: "What value did I actually create here?"
