Avantages
High standards on software engineering, which I benefited a lot, even after leaving Rapyuta. When I joined Rapyuta, the company was a small (~50 people) startup, engineering processes were very agile, people were decently professional, collaboration was polite and considerate among others.
Inconvénients
The pivotal moment started from early 2023, where the tech industry experienced mass layoffs worldwide. And Rapyuta began cutting cost, including hiring freeze, no free lunch, bonus turned into stock options, etc, which were quite understandable. However, the managements also started testing the limits of employees. No more WFH. Higher delivery expectations, easily let to burnout. I had witnessed engineers being bullied by manager only because he left office 5 min earlier. A 7-year-tenure manger deliberately delayed paid-leave-request approvals for weeks. Any small mistakes at work, even fixable in minutes, could be brought up in group meetings.
