Avantages

The program was highly informative and offered a great extension of coursework given at the NC State College of Textiles. Offered a look into the corporate atmosphere in the Greensboro office as well as a look at the distribution and customer service centers. Gave a comprehensive look at the company and its operations. The executives were open to suggestions regarding marketing and development of retail and department stores. Opened many doors for future success with Polo.

Inconvénients

The program in its first year was a learning curve for both the two interns as well as those in charge of the program. The loose structure was both a pro and con as it gave the opportunity to be creative but at times it left us wondering what our goals were.

Avantages

- Great employee discounts - Socially healthy team members - Investment in new tools and technologies - Amazing and iconic brand - Some interesting people working on cool projects

Inconvénients

The global leaders in charge of the upcoming AI Center of Excellence seem really confused and disorganized. There's been a lot of confusion and frustration around increasing AI integration across the organization. Upper management prefers to hire external consultants and is considering to seek external people instead of including existing employees that already have AI and Data Science experience to the table. Global Leaders have zero interest speaking to internal employees that are AI experts unless if they are VP level or above. Very political and disappointing. There is some lack of clarity and miscommunication in the AI initiative. At least they are more tactful, respectful, and sharp than the RLS-NA business planning team.
