Avantages
Helping people have a better quality of life.
Inconvénients
Literally everything else. Pay is so low that you have to work overtime or get a second job on top of already living here for 7 days. No raises, I've been here 3.5 years. They lie about bonuses and raises to keep you hopeful. Upper management does not care about the employees or the clients. QP is never in the home never answers questions and never covers shifts. Fellow employees are constantly gossiping and making the job harder and making clients lives harder. They took away cable boxes over 6 months ago and it's driving the clients insane with no clear direction of when or how it will be fixed. Maintenance only comes to fix things if state is coming. The day program has lots of space and opportunity to create a healthy learning fun environment but they go up there and color or sleep. I plan all activities myself and often use my own money to get supplies or take them out. No room for advancement. No communication. I've spoke to the director 3 times in my 3.5 years and one time was when state was here. This place is a joke.
