      Avantages

      Remote work is about the only pro

      Inconvénients

      This company will buy smaller RCM’s, and within a year the majority of the staff has either quit due to the culture, or will be laid off. When they say you’re safe, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! Their focus is on offshore coders and AI, and they will push all production coding to these resources.

      Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

      Inconvénients

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Avantages

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Inconvénients

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
