Avantages
Good pay and benefits. Very safety concious...won numerouse safety awards including utility of the year. Usually had all the nessesary tools and equipment needed for a particular job..if not..it was easily obtained.
Inconvénients
First and second level supervisors were moved into their position because of their work experience not their management experience. Most recommendations pertaining to an improvement to a work process went unnoticed. Too much emphasis on safety sometimes and not enough on the actual job. Did away with their formal training for substation employees. Training programs for electrical type jobs were very inadequate. Most electricians did not have enough experience. Too much sf6 gas was released to the atmosphere instead of being reclaimed.
