Avantages

Free bagels on Friday and fruit on Tuesdays. The gym in Sunnyvale is very nice and they offer massages (although not free!). The cafeteria food is decent, the campus is nice and near many new places to grab lunch. The benefits and compensation are good. The people are genuinely nice and the environment feels very much like a family in many regards. There is flexibility to work from home and schedules in general are flexible (as long as you get your work done and attend all the necessary meetings).

Inconvénients

In recent years the company, especially marketing, has become extremely political. There are a lot of people leaving and a general frustration and unhappiness among workers. It's becoming almost impossible to get things done because of politics, process, lack of decision making, lack of vision and planning, etc. What used to be a very lively and fun place to be, now feels toxic. Many of the people that made the culture what it was have left and the new people coming in aren't always as talented. The marketing department constantly changes direction and there is no clear goals or objectives for anything being worked on. I have absolutely no clue what people are measured on or how people are held accountable. It seems to be based on if your manager likes you vs. any real business impact.

Avantages

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Inconvénients

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
