Avantages
- It's part-time, so it's easy to manage along with school-work. - It's a very easy job: you help students understand concepts that they are having difficulty with. You sit most of the time and you walk around only when moving to help another student. - Materials to be taught is very easy - up to grade 12 (calculus and vectors, here in Ontario), so if you're good at math, it's an easy job. - You have plenty of ways to teach the students - they give you various tools that can help you in teaching them (they're called manipulatives). For e.g. they have various polyhedra to help students visualize what polyhedra look like. They also have fake money so that it's easier for instructors to teach students about money.
Inconvénients
- If you're looking for a full-time position, you probably won't get it. - The pay isn't that great - No benefits packages
