Avantages
Overall, Mathnasium is a good company. I enjoyed working with the students, helping them with school and homework, and seeing their self-confidence rise when they were able to bring their math grades up.
Inconvénients
The franchise that I worked for often required employees to complete unpaid training. There were three locations owned by the same people and they required two of the locations to travel a significant distance for the monthly trainings, but offered no compensation for the travel. The center director did not know how to read the employees or the students. For example, a student came into the center crying and he pushed her to complete work until she walked out. Would often interrupt instructors when trying to explain concepts to students. You do not get a lot of hours. The most hours I ever had in a week was 12, and my schedule was completely open. All three local centers were run in a very unusual fashion that was not mentioned during the hiring process. During my interview, I was asked odd questions that did not pertain to the job and were more personal based.
