Avantages

Working from home No micromanaging Paid training ($9/hr) Headset can be expended after 3 months of employment Everything is done remotely: interview, training & work Not having to turn in dr note for sick leave, but it’s UNPAID

Inconvénients

- The worst medical benefits a company has ever provided. It’s the bare minimum the law requires companies to have & it’s an insult when the pay is already low & you are required to pay for it too - If you have a question about anything that has to do with schedule adherence, sick leave, HR etc., it takes over 2 days to get a response - you get 40 hours of sick leave but it’s unpaid - back to back calls if you’re a Spanish interpreting employee & you’re in continuous mode where you’re not allowed to hang up the phone, you just get a beep and the call starts, it’s so bad that I can’t even take sips of water between calls. This reduces the quality of got interpretation when you’re being overworked. You have the option to log out & take a few minutes but it’ll affect your schedule adherence. If you’re under 91% it’s considered unsatisfactory & you’ll get an email warning you about a potential write up leading up to termination. - I was tolerant of the low pay as a Level 4 medical specialized interpreter ($13 really?!) because there were overtime bonuses for picking up extra hours. for example: you’d get a $50 bonus for every 4 hours you picked up on a weekday & $100 bonus for every 4 hours you picked up on the weekend. So it made up for the low pay. Well, that was taken away, so no more bonuses. We’re all stuck with low pay :) - I’ve also heard that many contractors have had their calls routed to employees to save the company a buck at the expense of the contractors earning less money & underpaid employees being overworked.

Avantages

We are given the tools to do the work and management is good. Very talented, small team of engineers. You are left alone for the most part.

Inconvénients

Some managers are very abrasive and hard to deal with. Pay is dismal (better negotiate a good salary up front) and we haven't had raises in a long time. They don't even keep up with inflation, yet health insurance prices go up yearly. Bonus has no logic to it. It's decided by made up projected numbers that are completely unrealistic some years. There is very little guidance on where we are going except for one meeting a year.
