Avantages

We make a meaningful solution for our patients. The group of people I work with are by far the most self-motivated group of people I have ever had the opportunity to work with. This does not account for just my direct group but almost across the board for all people I have interacted with. I feel that I can accomplish more at this company than any of my five previous companies since the entire team finds ways to support solutions rather than creating roadblocks. Our executive teams points the business in the right direction and provides us honest updates while setting clear expectations. We also provide stock options to every employee which I feel helps with the sense of ownership.

Inconvénients

Parking has been getting harder and harder to find. As the company grows I find it can be harder to get to know well everyone who I interact with. As a medical company the regulated bodies do put a lot of requirements on our plate.

Inconvénients

Strict policy and management. Good stock option but 401k match is really low. Pressure and competition

Avantages

The da Vinci is a powerful robotics platform and still unmatched by just about everything else in the market. With the product that great comes the experience and access to work with healthcare professionals and hospital systems at a level that is extremely valuable for a long career Medical Device. Also, the value you provide in the technical experience, the training pathway and the Surgeon learning curve to autonomy and the feeling of growing production is great when all the pieces fall into place.

Inconvénients

If you're in an area that has good runway and they just need hands on deck with a supportive manager it's pretty straightforward career progression. However, there's a lot of territories that have been sold into a corner of sorts and because of the specific targets that absolutely need to be sold the management has gotten extremely picky and will specifically target reps from orgs such as JnJ, Applied and Medtronic to come in and flip the remaining surgeons that they've already been selling to.
