Avantages

None. They bought Help Employment & Training and ruined an amazing culture since COO Dave Avery came on board in 2023. David's sense of humour, passion for employee inclusion and participant good news stories shined, and the goal was to trickle that down for all employees to embrace. He succeeded to build a community that we all loved being a part of.

Inconvénients

IntoWork purchasing Help "to look good for IEA tender" failed. They have taken over the lovely community that David created and destroyed it with their terrible reputation and old boomeristic views. The CEO, Poull is incredibly out of touch with society, rambles on about revenue in out of touch "Town Hall" meetings. Nothing about passion for participants or employees. In shocking moves, made redundant COO David Avery because we certainly cannot allow executive leadership to embrace the REAL points of DES - the success of participants and amazing employee work culture. Most theorise it was IntoWork's crap reputation that resulted in the loss of the tender for Help Employment & Training, making redundant hundreds of long standing employees. There was a time where we were not paid on the usual pay day, and nothing at all was addressed. Not a "sorry" not one bit acknowledgement. Helps payroll officer confirmed that she sent everything over for approval to Intowork, but apparently some be had a few too many drinks and dropped the ball. Many co-workers had loan, rent and other payments that were then late!

Avantages

The location is not bad

Inconvénients

If you’re thinking about working at IntoWork, save yourself the regret and keep walking. This place is a slow-burning career killer dressed up in corporate politeness. The pay is pathetic, and staying for any length of time gets you absolutely nowhere. There are no raises, no upskilling, and zero interest in developing or rewarding staff. Loyalty is a one-way ticket to resentment. On top of that, the layers of middle management create endless bottlenecks where nothing meaningful ever happens, and the bureaucracy is so over-the-top it feels like a bad joke. Most people are checked out and dead from the neck up, with only a tiny handful showing any real energy or competence. Then there’s the constant woke nonsense forced on everyone every other week. A Welcome to Country before a quick meeting? Spare me. Performance reviews make it all even more insulting. Once a year you have to hype up your achievements and future plans while drowning in workload that leaves no time to actually grow. Of course, there’s no option to review your managers in return. The turnover speaks volumes. New starters join full of excitement, but you can watch the light in their eyes slowly die as the miserable reality sets in. The physical environment doesn’t help either. Prison-like kitchens, filthy old toilets, and harsh overhead lighting with zero natural light for the people actually doing the work. The good windows are reserved for managers or left empty for visiting executives, while ceiling water stains keep spreading and the cleaning standard is laughable. They can’t even manage basic vacuuming. In the end, IntoWork is a bloated, self-indulgent mess that desperately needs a complete reckoning.

Avantages

- The team I worked with were fabulous

Inconvénients

- 'Best practice' is a dirty word and we were explicitly instructed not to use it - Toxic culture with a lot of misogyny from the top down, at every level - Somehow were able to become White Ribbon ambassadors despite men in the organisation refusing to participate in the process - Have 'grown' the group through acquisition rather than success - I could go on ...
