Avantages
Free lunches sometimes. You will feel like the company culture is amazing in the beginning. The feedback will be awesome and management will give a pat on the back.
Inconvénients
All of the great feedback is actually a lie. Leadership will talk bad amongst themselves about their employees within an ear shot. They think that conference rooms are sound proof so you hear how discriminatory they are and how everything they just praised you for was not the truth. They have no actual on boarding process so once you are recruited, good luck figuring out anything when you first start and then if you don’t understand something your manager will throw you under the bus. Then you will have so many meetings where leadership spent hours praising themselves that you have to stay working long after the day has ended to meet deadlines that are not just impossible but most days you will have no clue that the dates have changed to right after you began a project. If you are not in the leadership inner circle be prepared to be constantly belittled. If you didn’t grow up with privilege be prepared to have your education and life constantly questioned and demeaned. They claim to have unlimited time off as long as your not on a project, but if it’s for a vacation they will talk about you like your lazy and don’t deserve a job while you’re away. If you’re sick, they will constantly email and message you expecting responses while you’re home. There is no work life balance. If you are the low ranking person in the room and someone screws up, you will be the person that takes the blame. There were days I would have to stay in the office past 3am to meet an impossible deadline and then run home shower to be back in office at 9am to only find they moved the meeting for the deadline to 8am and not notify you, then blame you for being late. Your hard work will only be recognized if you’re in the click (rich, white, privileged or best friends with the boss) and if you’re lucky your work will get credit but your manager gave the credit to the other person on your team that’s in the click. Oh and they will actually hire their best friends. So your manager will hire her bestie and pretend like they never knew each other. They always forget those old college pics on social media. So if your managers best friend wants to chill all day or skip out on work then it’s ok no consequences. If your managers bestie wants to harass another employee and the manager is notified, the bestie will get lunch on the company credit card and special privileges. The children are running the day care and the gas lighting is so thick you begin to question your own sanity. Oh did I mention how ageist managers will be. Managers here are generally white and rich with no life experience because they went to college right after high school and then got a internship through their parents who are rich and then got a job here. So if you are older than 28 you will get treated like you’re a loser because you are older than them and what went wrong in your life because they are above you in rank. I highly recommend a getting good therapist if you plan on working here. I experienced a very abusive work environment at insight to the point that I almost gave up doing what I love and completely changing careers after leaving. My self esteem was in the toilet after this place. The leadership is self righteous and tone def. they pat themselves on the back when they are nice to a person of color or someone in the LGBTQ+ community. So if you are a minority you feel less than human working there. They will promise you the world and opportunities to further your education for free and every fringe benefit you can think of but they only keep those promises to the very few they deem worthy and worthiness is not based in any sense of reality.
