The people were great and were the best part of working here, despite poor leadership.
Inconvénients
There are very few opportunities for growth or progression. Pay is below industry standard (it may have been competitive 10 years ago), but it no longer is. Pay rises and promotions are extremely rare, even for top performers, and this hinders growth and professional development. On a personal level, I was repeatedly told I was being promoted, only for the criteria to change at the last second. This happened on multiple occasions and never materialised. The experience felt like goal shifting and gaslighting rather than transparency about my performance. Senior leadership sets unrealistic targets with little or no path to achieving them. Strategy is disconnected from reality, and decisions are made far away from the people who have to deliver them.
