Furthermore, the work is strictly temporary and ends once the tax season concludes. If you are seeking a career path, it is important to know that permanent, year-round roles are far and few between. Securing one of these positions is incredibly competitive, as you are often competing against highly experienced researchers who have completed multiple years of seasonal work, making it highly unlikely for new hires to transition into a permanent role. Lastly, the pay is not commensurate with my level of education.
