Avantages

Good benefits that are very affordable. 401k match. Some room for growth depending on what you know and how you present it.

Inconvénients

Poor Management Overview. Short staffed, high turnover rate. Low pay to be deemed oil field work. High expectations for understaffed crews, more and more is added daily. No raises. Some have been here for 3+ years and finally got 1.50$ raise, which matches the new hire onboarding rate. New hires are coming in making the same as people with years of experience with the company.

Avantages

Flexibility is the only thing that keeps people employed here, because there’s definitely no room for growth, no structure, and lacks any type of organization.

Inconvénients

Upper management gets away with retaliation against employees, embezzlement, and gross mismanagement. They have no clue how to manage a boat company. It’s a constant CIRCUS and somebody is going to end up getting killed in the fleet if this company continues to be “managed” like it is. Go elsewhere. WAKE UP, HR and protect Genesis Energy from the executives at Genesis Marine. It’s a sinking ship.
