Avantages
So much potential with a great product and vision to get ahead of the competition, Some of the best colleagues I have worked with. Good to great pay - especially with commissions if you are hitting or close to hitting quota.
Inconvénients
NO flexibility. It is insane that we would need to take PTO to get our cars fixed, or needing to work from home if sick (aka sick enough to worry about getting others sick, but perfectly fine to work). Lack of trust in most of their employees (without knowing someone, they "trusted" them enough to hire them, but don't trust them enough to work from home every once and awhile?). Crazy micromanaging. A 100% in-office policy for sales (though a couple of people do work remote - favoritism), Absolutely horrible work / life balance. It was difficult to work there and feel like one could spend time with his / her family. One time, a co-worker's wife had a miscarriage and he was debating whether or not he could go home because it was the end of month - insane! Mixed messages when they say "you can take PTO", "you have freedom"... no you don't. Everything falls back on being in the office and wasting your life away there and in traffic. Not too many are hitting quota. There is lack of trust in their employees. Definitely some favoritism as well. The same people would receive partner referrals - even outside of their territories. Quite a few workers felt like they honestly didn't care about them. Two-faced leadership. If you are hitting quota, they want more out of you. If not, you're on a short leash. Shady practices with ex-employees, treating them like dirt. If they get rid of you, get ready to be treated like a disease. They kick you to the curb without a second thought nor a care in the world. If you think you are getting fired, it's better to turn in your 2 week's notice - at least you'll still get paid for two more weeks. Commissions are stolen from you too. I know that reps who have had commissions due to them, did not get paid what they were owed. Many have lost a lot of confidence in their sale's skills, even though their numbers weren't bad. Mental stability has been an issue as is fighting depression. No one cared - that's the "Filevine way!"
