Avantages
Very casual. Flexible hours. Doing your job and learning what you want is what's important. Surrounded by brilliant scientist willing to talk about what they're doing. They are open to you taking on multiple projects.
Inconvénients
Some administrative work can cause bottleneck in your projects. Boss is sometimes out on business trips, so less guidance. Requires one to be proactive in finding more projects. The engineers don't really know your skill level so you need to talk about what you can and can't do (be honest if things are too hard or too easy)
