It’s true that we’re making big changes as we strive to become one of Canada’s top P&C insurers. We’re making significant investments in technology, processes, and organizational structure to help us achieve our ambitious goals. Change can be challenging, but we think it’s a necessary part of success in a competitive industry.
You’re right in saying that it’s important for management to listen to employees. I’m not sure when you left the company, but in the past two years we’ve gathered employee feedback through our symposiums, focus groups, Share inbox, and through surveys on culture, communication, engagement, employment brand, and more. Asking for employee input (and acting on that feedback!) has been an incredibly important element in developing people and culture programs that make Economical an even better place to work.
By offering flexible work options, some employees may telecommute or work at another location — frequently or on occasion. Thankfully, we’ve been making more technologies available, like Skype and video conferencing, to help geographically disbursed teams connect more effectively and seamlessly
