Avantages

*The people here are the best! They want you to succeed and will go out of their way to help you. * The team embraces radical candor so they will let you know when you mess up, but will be constructive and objective when they do. * There are still a lot of issues from such rapid growth, but feedback is taken seriously and the team has no issues changing processes that are causing issue * Growth has been explosive and there is ample opportunity to advance in your org or transfer internally to a different one. * The culture is super open and supports transparency at every level. * The openness and opportunity creates a strong culture of meritocracy where you can expect fair competition for openings. Also hard work is seldom left unrewarded * Everyone here is very approachable and happy to talk or help out if they can. * Generally a really fun, younger tech culture!

Inconvénients

* Sometimes it feels like a dumpster fire when a big change or sudden issue catches us off guard. ClickUp is still building a lot of internal processes and unfortunately it sometimes takes trial and error to realize something is broken. * Things change incredibly quickly, so you can be gone for a week and come back to find your org is now doing several processes differently than when you left. * Although there have been a TON of improvements to improve work/life balance, the workload is still pretty high for everyone. This is a scaling issue though and hopefully will be addressed by increasing headcount. * The company is not nearly as diverse as many comparable California tech companies. They are making progress though and hopefully will make up lost ground soon.

Avantages

Some smart, ambitious people who you can learn a lot from.

Inconvénients

This place is an unstable, toxic mess, and leadership is largely to blame. The C-suite is full of egos and seems to make goals and quotas up out of thin air, then cleans up the fallout from poor planning and overhiring with layoffs. There have been three company-wide mass layoffs in less than four years, and that doesn’t even include the many layoffs that have happened quietly behind closed doors. The toxicity at the top trickles down through the entire organization. VPs put pressure on middle management, who then pass that pressure on to ICs. The company can’t seem to keep leaders in place for more than six months, which creates constant chaos and confusion. Strategies are always changing, priorities shift every few months, and nothing ever sticks long enough to make a real impact. Promotions seem to be based more on politics, favoritism, and who can make the most noise than on actual performance. The same people get promoted year after year, and many of them seem underqualified for the titles they hold. If you’re good at self-promotion and have the right relationships, you’ll probably do fine. If you’re quietly doing great work, don’t expect the same recognition. HR keeps saying they’re working on improving the promotion process, but I haven’t seen much change. If you’re considering joining the GTM org (especially the operational side) I would think twice. The new leadership loves to talk about transformation, improvements, and exciting changes, but there’s usually very little follow through behind the messaging.
