Avantages
The people I've encountered so far in the first 30 days are masters of their domain. They are eager to share what's working and what's next to fix. They don't seem jaded or hung up on seeing problems as negative, rather a challenge to overcome or an opportunity to improve, that's refreshing. Data, oh so much data! There's SO much available to aid in telling a story about what happened and to help inform and make better decisions.
Inconvénients
Did I mention data? It's overwhelming as a new employee. Plus, working in SQL is not an easy skill to learn quickly. Working in the office full time with an open concept design is problematic at times. While it helps you stay engaged with others and aware of what's going on, it can be distracting. It doesn't help I worked from home for the past 18+ months (not all entirely related to the pandemic). Some systems seem outdated and antiquated.
