Avantages
As a truss designer, you get to learn a lot of different software for the entire truss design to fabrication process. You'll also get to see a lot of really neat architectural designs. You will also gain a lot of insight into the wood-frame construction industry.
Inconvénients
Very demanding in terms of performing near perfection work - one mistake could cost the company a lot of money. Also, very production oriented; fast past and demanding in terms of getting drawings and engineering work turned around, especially during 'busy' season.
