Avantages

Great culture. Love the people I work with! Company really has a family feel to it and your opinion is valued. Annual golf-outing and Christmas parties are held to grow the team-bonding.

Inconvénients

Company has grown so fast that there was a hiring frenzy for a while which led to some financial issues and abrupt layoffs. Many department changes have happened that many don't agree with. Sometimes upper management seems to jump the gun instead of thinking things through

Avantages

- One of the best software engineering teams I've ever worked with - Lots of flexibility - Unique problem to solve - Leader in the market and looking to expand - Fantastic culture of autonomy within the engineering team. Lots of trust and camaraderie on that team. The engineering team culture is seriously incredible.

Inconvénients

- The larger org doesn't really understand how to build software. There's a mentality that the roadmap and and solutions should be driven by sales and operations which has led to an unsustainable long term product. - Some recent leadership changes have caused some big disruptions and the jury is still out on whether the changes will be positive or negative. Leaders have come in implementing big changes without fully understanding current state. This has caused unnecessary disruption and has started generating a lack of trust. - Because of the exec leadership and other teams not understanding how good software is built, there is a lack of trust between the company and the engineering team. A lot of this is due to the product and engineering team not being given freedom to prioritize tech debt and replacing old infrastructure to solve many issues the product has. This is currently changing but has not been without its own set of challenges. - Because the team is still fairly small, there aren't a lot of career advancement opportunities. - The pay and benefits are well below average. - The diversity of the company is significantly lacking
