Inconvénients
As a contracting company, you may feel disconnected from the company if you work at client's site full time. Raises seem to be difficult to get, although I may just not be very valued here. In 2.5 years working here, I make 3% more than when I started. In that time, I've received multiple written recognitions of excellence from the client, been nominated and awarded their champion of the month (included bonus), and finished my Master's degree. Events outside work seem too far and few between. I've found these events to be very valuable in previous jobs. They really improve working/personal relationship among employees, which makes a significant improvement to the team at work. There is one event per year that you can bring family, and it is a simple barbecue at a park. There is one other event where family is not allowed to join.
