Avantages
Apm Terminals is undergoing a period of change; as a spin off from a large old school shipping firm. There are opportunities to grow the business. We are a very operations centered company with a can do spirit. Many of the jobs at the terminals are just that - you go to work and you have to manage a vessel and get the job done.
Inconvénients
Apm Terminals has its flaws, as does any company. Our major flaw has been the promotion of operations personnel into highly technical positions with the belief that OJT will be their savior. Many of the higher paying/leadership positions within terminals attract people who like to "camp out" in positions and who do not like change. This is a difficult place to work if you are creative or like to be creative. Our culture is in a state of change but it is slow going.
