      Avantages

      I really like to help people and that is what is the best part of the job, even if it comes with long hours and stressful work enviroments.

      Inconvénients

      There are some really rough calls. You have to go out and help people if is is in a blizzard or a heat wave.

      Avantages

      Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard

      Inconvénients

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      Avantages

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Inconvénients

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
