Victoria Westmount Dental is a leading area provider of morning, afternoon and evening dental care to patients in the greater Kitchener, ON area. We are seeking a PT Dental Hygienist for a maternity leave to join our team on Wednesdays and Thursdays!

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient dental health history, notes and x-rays in a timely manner.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene advice and treatment suggestions.
• Assist dentists in various dental procedures such as tooth whitening, smile training, Invisalign, etc.
• Provide oral hygiene education to patients in a friendly and informative manner.
• Keep teeth clean and healthy by following established guidelines for oral- hygiene practice and promotion of good oral health.
• Use equipment properly and correctly to ensure proper use of dental equipment is documented and documented in patient records.
• Exceeding patient expectations in services provided.

Skills

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of health & safety regulations in this profession
• Experience in using dental instruments (filling instruments, stapling tools, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, computer & written)
• Friendly attitude with good customer service skills
• Ability to make people feel welcome in our dental office
• Good knowledge of dentistry terminology skill set

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17 per week
