    Avantages

    Work from home
    Decent pay with room for promotions and pay increases based on performance
    Fantastic support system and coworkers
    Everything needed to perform troubleshooting steps can be easily found

    Inconvénients

    The company we had a contract with was terrible. Improper transfers, no shows with field techs, etc. Most of the time, by the time I got the call, the customer had been given the run around for hours, if not days, by other employees that were not a part of teleNetwork. Companies were often angry and towards the end of my time there I was subjected to a lot of verbal abuse from customers. You have to have thick skin and you have to know how to deescalate calls - that will be your most important skill at this company. I did start to look at it as a challenge, and was often proud of myself when the customer would end the call happy and stating I was the only one who actually listened and fixed their problem.

    Conseils à la direction

    They had a bad habit of hiring anyone for the tech support position, even people who had no idea how to use a computer. Most customers were always angry because of something that could've been easily fixed if more employees knew what they were doing or cared about their job. Better hiring processes and training processes should be implemented. For the most part, I absolutely loved working at teleNetwork. I loved my coworkers and my team leaders, and developed lasting friendships through this company.

    Used Google hangouts to speak with two people who were interviewing me. They were in Texas and I was in Colorado. The position I was applying for was a work at home Sales position to sell Tech support.

    There really was not a negotiation phase. I agreed to the pay they were offering and they told me they'd let me know if I was chose. I received emails later on to continue the hiring process.
