    Entretien de Solutions Consultant

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Toronto, ON

    Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien à ServiceNow (Toronto, ON).

    Entretien

I was encouraged to apply to a solution consultant role and received a phone interview within a few days with the manager. I was asked about my current experiences and to describe my strengths and weaknesses. I was asked for the names and positions of previous and current supervisors which I found odd at this stage. I was also told coming from a customer of SN that I would need to inform my supervisors that I was applying to SN before I could be considered and with no indication that I would be hired, which i found to be totally unreasonable. The hiring manager then told me I would be setup with other SCs as a next step but never heard back. I found the process to be completely unprofessional and an indication of the culture within the organization. There was no offer, but considering it a dodged bullet. You do not ask someone to tell their current company and supervisor that you’re interested in leaving your job without receiving and offer for another job. This is just common sense and common courtesy. You also should not offer next steps with no intention of following through.
