    Entretien de Store Manager Designate

    Entretien

Initial telephone interview was 30 minutes later than scheduled. I had to chase this up with numerous calls and emails. I dont think the telephone interview would have went ahead without me following up. The information that was provided on the call did not match with the information that I was given at the interview. I was told that a 30k base salary was reasonable however I was told at interview I should adjust my expectations to around 26k. I was also given incorrect figures regarding bonuses. The actual formal interview process was broken down into three parts. A test involving interpretation of figures, devolping a plan for an underperforming store and the actual interview. The first two parts were simple and 30 minutes more than ample to complete these. The final stage was more conventional. I was under the impression that I would be working in one store but I was told it could be any one of a number of stores with no real indication of which. Frustrating as the basic salary is determined by the banding of the store you end up in. Upon asking what the likelyhood of poundland being able to match my current salary, I was told there would be, "No chance". As it turns out, even with a decent bonus I would still be taking around 6k a year less than my current job. I sent an email asking for feedback from the HR department. There was no reply. I rang the HR department numerous times with no answer. I then managed to speak to someone but they seemed to have mixed up my feedback. I was told that I was interviewed by one person but was in fact interviewed by someone else. I was told I would get a call back ASAP and 24hours later I am still waiting on the call.
