    Entretien de Flight Planning Analyst

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Omni Air International (Tulsa, OK (États-Unis)) en janvier 2020.

    Entretien

I had a total of two phone interviews followed by an on site one. The first phone interview was with HR. It was basically just asking about all your work experience on your resume. Nothing hard or elaborate. The second phone call was with the trainer. She asked about work experience on my resume along with reasons why I think I’d be a good fit and why I wanted the opportunity to work for Omni. Typical questions. Nothing to get worked up over. She also gave me information about the company. I will say it was a game of telephone tag trying to get these interviews scheduled though. That was frustrating.

Their travel department booked me a round trip to Tulsa. I was able to choose my departure airport and length of stay. I was not compensated for a rental car or place to stay. Not a big downside since my airfare was over $500.

I was to meet with HR, the trainer, and the VP. The HR employee didn’t show up that day. I walked into the building and the trainer came down to get me. I quickly realized the environment was laid back and I was over dressed in a suit. Jeans and tee shirts were worn by majority. I was there for I think two and half hours. It was largely the three of us nerding out over aviation. For the total time I was there I think I was asked three questions.

I left and an hour after the interview I got the call I received the job. I was then expected to do a drug test and fingerprints immediately. That cut into my time I had set aside for seeing apartments.

I declined it as they would not work with me. I told them my availability with the first phone call was in March. They said if I couldn’t start by early February I would forfeit the job. They offered next to none for benefits. No college reimbursement. No paid days off for a whole year. Salary only not hourly pay. No relocation assistance.
