Mission: Dream is committed to building better communities. We believe we not only have the ability, but also the responsibility to contribute to and invest in the communities where we work.
We do that by partnering with not-for-profit organizations, encouraging employee ...
We believe in building better communities.
Dream TSX: DRM has grown a lot since we started in 1994, becoming one of Canada’s leading real estate companies with ~800 employees and approximately $14 billion of assets under management in North America and Europe. The scope of the business includes residential land development, housing and condominium development, asset management & management services for four TSX-listed funds, investments in and management of Canadian renewable energy infrastructure and commercial property ownership.
We provide asset management services for four TSX listed funds:
Dream Office REIT – Canadian office REIT;
Dream Global REIT – the first Canadian REIT to invest exclusively outside of Canada;
Dream Industrial REIT – Canada’s largest pure-play industrial REIT; and
Dream Alternatives Trust – providing investors the opportunity to access hard asset alternative investments.
Our operating businesses include:
Homes by Dream – an award-winning home and condominium developer;
Dream Development – Canada’s largest residential developer with ~10,000 acres of land;
Dream Centres – focused on developing retail shopping destinations in our residential communities; and
Renewable Power – we invest in renewable energy infrastructure.
Whatever we do, we work to create value and make everything we do better than it was before— for investors, for tenants and for the greater community — at every stage of the real estate life cycle.
We’re honest, accountable, transparent, and respectful in our dealings with others. We act in a way that helps to create goodwill for all our relationships, now and in the future.
We help each other achieve collective goals while reinforcing each other’s strengths and doing our best to help others in the areas they are weaker. Our successes are shared with all.
Dealing with Stakeholders
Our success relies on our ability to meet and exceed the expectations of our stakeholders. We believe prompt responses with thoughtfulness, compassion, innovation and creative solutions will lead to the best outcomes.
We believe in contributing in the communities where we live and where we work and value the commitment of others.
We provide a safe and respectful work environment that attracts, supports and develops high-performing and innovative team members and provides opportunities in as fair a manner as possible.
We believe that Dream’s success is enhanced when we encourage an environment where people enjoy working together, take interest in each other, create social events to develop our understanding of each other and encourage humour at work.
Our culture includes living all of these values. It is in the work we do, the way we communicate, the decisions we make, and the way we share our responsibilities, which makes Dream a great place to work.

Great company culture & work environment. Whether at project offices or the head office, colleagues are genuinely friendly, positive and helpful.
Simply, Dream is a company with big dreams (vision & goals) and relies on empowering it employees to achieve them.
There is really none!
Truly it depends on your personality and work style....For example, Dream does not limit your focus to one track and instead exposes you to many different aspects of the company and its sub businesses that you can reach out to within the scope of your job. I love that!
Others might prefer to be focused on just one track with fixed defined processes - in my prespective those kind of jobs will be taken over by AI!
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris +4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Dream Unlimited en novembre 2019.
They contacted me on LinkedIn with the job posting. I applied online, and was emailed to set up a phone interview with an intern. After the phone interview, I attended an in-person interview. When I hadn’t heard from them 2 weeks later, I sent a follow-up email.
