Je travaille chez Audible à plein temps (Plus d'un an)
More relaxed than Amazon. I've enjoyed the people I've worked with throughout, which is important to me. No shortage of interesting system-level web tech challenges to tackle—a mixed bag of gaps to fill (opportunities) and growth-related, bureaucratic baggage.
Mentioned in pros: there is a bit of a heavy top end, not unusual for a (tech) company in this stage of growth. Can be annoying though when edicts come down from senior leadership that disrupt work for employees in the bottom several rungs of the org.
Conseils à la direction
More bottom up than top down please; could learn from Amazon practices regarding tech planning and team organization.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé une entrevue à Audible en février 2014.
I applied online for a Product Manager position with Audible. Within about 2 weeks I was contacted for a phone interview, which took a little over a week to set-up. The interview was with a product manager who worked with both Kindle and Audible. She had worked at Amazon in the past. I was not asked back for a second interview and my thank you emails did not receive a response/acknowledgement. All in all a good experience but I could have prepared more with regards to specific metrics for success.
