Large size and diverse businesses provide some good personal growth opportunities
Senior Leadership has no respect for employees and do not live up to their espoused values in terms of people. Very quick to let employees go when things get tough, tend to fire more employees than necessary then rehire younger, less experienced and less expensive replacements. Frequent practitioners of ageism and have a well earned reputation for providing departing employees with less than competitive severance packages.
Conseils à la direction
Remember you actually have “people” working there, not just FTEs. Show some respect and treat your “people” the way you have arranged to treat yourselves especially when it comes to making “people” oriented staffing decisions. Not all employees over 55 are looking to leave and when they do perhaps you should make it easier and fairer, like you have done for yourselves.
