In an economic downturn, Intel Community jobs are pretty resistant to cycles in the economy
If you don’t bill, you don’t get paid. When people with clearances are sent home, they are forced to use vacation time. Working for an intel community contractor means that there is no telework.
Right now, if you’re supporting the IC on an SAIC contract you might as well be on a cruise ship. At least you can get off the ship but then how do you pay your mortgage. SAIC will tell you that you can use your vacation time (which you might have already used for sick leave). But right now, you’re forced to choose between catching (and bringing home) COVID or not getting paid.
Conseils à la direction
Tell your COTRs to send people home and get the government to pay for it. If the government can do blue/gold alternating coverage for government people and pay them while they are away, it’s reasonable to ask that for your employees. Grow a spine and actually take care of your employees
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à SAIC (Chantilly, VA (États-Unis)) en mars 2018.
Quick and casual interview, not stressful. Straightforward about the job requirements and what they were looking for. I found the interviewer and the rest of the hiring staff to be very helpful and kind.
