    Virtual interview with 2 team leads, 4 team members, and 2 senior level employees. Process was 2 hours long and organized in 30 minute increments. Everyone was friendly and provided good dialogue regarding day to day responsibilities, some common career paths, and their personal experience at iPipeline.

    It was a first round phone interview with the team leader for a certain project at Ipipeline. Overall the whole interviewing process was nice - I was asked about my interests, projects , jobs, etc.

    To say this was a strange interview is an understatement. It was a 2 person panel. The two people who were interviewing seemed to be sharing an inside joke because they kept giggling at one another.

    The interviewers did not act professional and seemed to not take it seriously which is a shame because Blue Sun used to be a good company as I have colleagues that have worked there. I guess with the acquisition, their standards have fallen. Either that, or they already had a candidate chosen, in which case they should not have wasted everyone's time.

    Was also told specifically NOT to prepare for the interview. I did regardless but this is never good advice.

    Overall, just so strange.

    Applied online and the whole process took about two weeks. Onsite had standard algorithm questions. Only two people to interview with onsite. Tried to give me exploding 2-day offer.

    One in person interview, about 5 phone interviews. Phone interview with each team member. Recruiter asked for my last years w-2, which I provided. Recruiter claimed CEO dictated that new employees can't get more than a 10% raise. Offered me 15k less than I had discussed with recruiter on initial call.

    They uploaded as "Agile Business Analyst" and then changed it to "Configuration Support" after 2 rounds of interview and wasting 3-4 weeks of my time.

    3 hours long interview with 4 different people from different background. Interview was not that difficult. Easy to crack. Their decision process is very quick. Project manager to business analysts take your interview

    I went through two phone screens; first with a recruiter and then with a supervisor/Director for the Senior Project Manager position I applied for. Both phone screens went well and both interviewers knew that I did not have a background in the insurance industry and that my budgeting experience was limited to internal project budgeting.

    That being said, they invited me for an onsite interview for the position. I interviewed with four directors who all asked me the same questions, which had nothing to do with the insurance industry and more to do with my job history, my experience project managing customer implementations, my project management skill set (agile and waterfall) and the project budgets I currently an responsible for.

    The last onsite interview was with the Senior Director who, about 3 minutes into the interview, flat out told me I was not a fit to be a Senior Project Manager with iPipeline because I did not have the industry experience or budget depth experience they were looking for in a Senior PM. But that I could potentially be hired on as a regular project manager.

    Here's the thing- I I really felt like my time was completely wasted with iPipeline. Not only the four hours that I spent onsite interviewing, but also the time and effort I put into the phone screens as well. I applied for the Senior Project Manager position, not a regular Project Manager position. I made it pretty clear from the get-go with my phone screens that a senior position was what I was looking for in my next job move. I was baffled that I could make it this far in their interview process if I didn't meet their criteria of a Senior PM. I emailed the recruiter as soon as I got home to decline any further opportunities with iPipeline.

    In my experience, iPipeline seems a little chaotic. I can't imagine working in an environment where simple tasks, like having agreement on job description is not communicated through the channels properly. Seems like they are used to wasting a lot of time and effort.

    Interviewers were friendly and not intimidating. Questions were mostly centered around the previous work experiences as a BA. They did not come as group panel. They met individually. They tried to gauge my ability and the fit in their culture and organization. They gave enough opportunities to ask questions and answered them. They explained the expectations, day to day and long term. Employee referrals are honored. It helped not just getting my resume considered, but also expedited the process to meet my schedule. That was nice of them.
