I had the assessment day with Kelly group Virgin Media a few weeks ago and they told me I was successful and gave me a start date so I handed my notice in at my job. Then they pushed back the start date twice before finally I called to ask what was going on and they said all training courses are now cancelled and there are no jobs for any of us Moins

It has been my experience that if you work for a professional company that believes in culture, you should be prepared to embrace and enable that professionalism and culture. Good management produces great employees. Fostering and mentoring employees produces results that benefit all. Great message....thank you! Moins

Exactly. They simply talk a game, but don't embrace what they claim. My background has always been in a professional industry, (for over 22 years) so it was surprising to see the owners so egotistical. In this industry, you usually only find that on the Technician and dispatch side. I will however standby, that their manager is very down to earth and supportive, (CEOs are far from). I'll also add that I have always been a first responder and have helped many people in accidents and house fires, and saved many people. I'm proud of this of course. Even the day I was hired, driving back home I was first on the scene to a car flip with 2 babies on board. The CEO was very against this and made this clear they do not like this about me, and did not like that I stopped and accidents. I'll also add that the CEO was also offended when I brought to his attention that his son made comments to me that "my dad owns you"... As a father, I would've thought I was doing him a favor of bringing this character flaw to his attention. Hope that helps understand the mental makeup of the owners. There's a great business developer that teaches it's always the CEOs and managers that prevents a business from growth and stagnants potential growth. Moins
