I can tell you exactly why you didn't get hired. You talked bad about other employer. It wasn't your age. I've known a 60 year old get hired. The moment you talked about money they exempted you. You should have talked about Union Pacific and what they had to offer Moins

It is also possible that one of the other reviewers were right. Nepotism may rule the hiring process at UP. Maybe you have to have a brother, father, uncle, etc. working there to get hired. Moins

Don't say tell on them. Honestly you'd be better approaching them. Telling on them creates problems and no cohesion. Moins

How long did It take you to get actually hired from Alternate status? What exactly does that mean? Are alternates hired before any new interviews? My fiancé was just placed as an alternate and we are not sure what happens next or how. Moins
