It was a two part interview process. The first part was a group interview where you had to decide on a menu for a dinner party between you. Basically this is a bit of a 'he who shouts loudest' set up, you need to make sure you are noticed. There was a candidate at my interview who I thought was really pushy and spoke over everyone almost to the point of rudeness, but I found out later they were offered the job and I wasn't, even though I was trying to speak, so based on my experience they are looking for quite pushy people. Also I would advise you to make sure they see you speaking, not always easy as I put some good ideas across but the assessor is walking round looking at all the groups so if they don't hear you, it doesn't really count. Second part of the interview was a one on one with usual questions like. Why do you want to work for Waitrose. What do you think good customer service is? I was told I did very well on the one to one interview but too quiet in the group interview.
