Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris +2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Visa Inc. (Miami, FL (États-Unis)).

Entretien

3 rounds, not tricky questions, Prescreen thu the phone, 1st round with manager, 2nd round with other teams, 3rd round with one of the execs. everyone focused on previous job experience and education. I felt the approach was more towards whether my personality fit the company or not

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien à Visa Inc. (Foster City, CA (États-Unis)) en juillet 2010.

    Entretien

I was contacted by a recruiter and the initial conversation was the typical overview of position, discussion of relevant experience and fit/interest. This is a step down in title for me but since it is a new position and different companies level their jobs differently, I'm willing to move forward to learn more about the position to see if it is a potential fit.

Recruiter forwarded my resume to internal recruiter to schedule onsite interview with the team within the next few days. Met with internal recruiter first and she asked some questions related to my current employer that are not directly related to my experience or the job (e.g., how is XX at your current company vs. what is your strategy to track/analyze XX?). Felt like she's trying to get an insider view of certain sensitive info since my current employer has a strong brand in the marketplace.

Then met with another person on the team that was fine. Hiring manager was next in line but he was handling an emergency so I "socialized" with another person on the team for over an hour, then met with the hiring manager briefly.

Overall perception of the company was they are very disorganized and hierarchical. Was asked several times by different interviewers what level/title of employees were in certain meetings/presentations.

The role was more narrow than my current job so I didn't think it was a fit. They never got back to me with a "no. thank you" after hanging out at their office just to wait for my next interview, which was not very professional.

    Entretien

    - Length / difficult of interview depends on Groups / Interviewers
    - Lots of behavioral questions and decision comes down to skill / fit / what the interviewer has in mind of an ideal candidate
    - The process took forever and hindered my opportunity to apply for other jobs in the Company

    Entretien

Applied online and got a response pretty quickly from HR. Had an initial conversation with the hiring manager, mostly around what type of work I had been doing. Then talk to four people on the phone in one day as a final interview. I got the offer without going onsite, as I was out of state. Visa is just starting to build up its analytics department, so the level of sophistication still levels something to be desired.

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    Raison du refus

There are so many more rigorous places in the Bay Area. The pay and career development / mentoring dimensions of this job were pretty lacking.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris +2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien à Visa Inc. (New York, NY (États-Unis)) en août 2018.

    Entretien

I interviewed for a senior analyst position for a data team. the interviews has three rounds - on HR screening call, one call with a director, and video interviews with 4 director/sr director, as I was in NYC to interview a position in foster city.

3 weeks after the final round, I was told by the HR in email saying that they decided to move to the offer process. Instead of telling me about the details of the compensation, the HR called me twice, asking again my salary expectation, whether I'm interviewing other companies, and all the details about my perferences of these roles, to a point that being a bit unprofessional and intrusive. I told the HR that I can only make a decision after I hear back from all the companies, which should be within 1-2 weeks. He was a bit unsatisfied that I can't make a decision right away.
Two days later, I received a system generated email, saying I'm rejected! I'm astonished that a company like Visa could do things like this. Only because I can't not make a decision right away/this role is not my 1st choice, you could withdraw an offer without calling/sening a non-automatic email? They were the ones who demanded me to have the first round interview while I was on a trip in Europe, even if I could get back to the US in the next 3 days, and the ones who kept me waiting for 3 weeks after the final round!

I ended up with a better offer with another company. That being said, I would not accept this offer even if they sent out a formal offer letter! The most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered.

I applied in February and got an email from HR in June. I thought my resume went to the black hole of resumes. The email asked if I was still interested?!! Of course!

All in all the interview process took 4 rounds! Almost 5 since I was applying for a department with new leadership, but it ended up being 4. I guess they wanted to do their due diligence.

I thought the process was pretty lengthy!! I didn’t know if it was the norm, but it seems to be. They asked about technical and resume-geared questions. Know your resume through and through! Practice with a friend or etc to get comfortable if you have issues talking about yourself and your accomplishments.

Be prepared to LISTEN, I had some talkative interviewers. Everyone was very nice though. I got passed around to several recruiters each week until I landed with my last recruiter. She was AMAZING!

Negotiation was not an option, so I had to decline the offer.

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien à Visa Inc. en avril 2019.

    Entretien

Let me preface by saying I was a former Visa employee. My tenure was very enjoyable so I entertained an opportunity to return. I reached out to the hiring manager and she agreed that an interview should be set up. When engaging with the recruiter for all of 9 minutes, he commented 'so it looks like you have your bachelors'. Odd question as it's on my resume... I replied yes. He next asked about my number of years of work experience. Ok, clearly did not review my resume beforehand. He concluded the call and said he'd be in touch in a couple of days. I received a generic disposition email less than 24 hours later. It was truly an awful candidate experience.
