It was fast. Questions asked are things taught in school. Interviewer was professional. It was a phone interview and was about 30 min. Interviewer was friendly. I had time to brain storm and respond to the questions asked.
- Critical thinking questions. Scenarios of real life situations.

Applied through school portal, email interview invite, one round in-person interview, waited around a week and heard back. Interview was with one HR, two other on the project. People had great passion about their work, very friendly, they were there to help you and listen not to judge.

First cover letter and resume were submitted online - both to the part time and full time line positions; next a phone screen with my future manager, followed by a zoom interview of 1.5 hours with two panelists, followed by collection of two current work references
- What specific education, experience, and skills do you have that will make you a strong candidate for this position?

Applied early October and heard back from Recruitment to submit a form and interview in early November. Interviewed with 2 people - the manager and another panelist. References were asked for on the same day and heard back within less than a week from interviewing.
- Situational questions, understanding of case and contact tracing.

Applied online. Some extended time later, was scheduled for an HR screening interview. Then scheduled for a panel interview of 4-5 people. One person dominated the discussion, stating 'welcome to the interrogation' at the beginning of the meeting. This same person really focused on my resume and background. Knew someone at a previous company, questions indicating they would likely go thru back channels to get a reference on me (even without my permission). Job sounded quite interesting, but I suspect they were using a pedagogical approach to evaluating fit; square peg for square hole. I've definitely worked in the space, but have much broader background which tends to intimidate recruitment teams. Never ever heard back. The rest of the panel asked very few questions.
- Did you know this person. We work with them a lot. We are going to be repatriating a lot of our services.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Vancouver Coastal Health en sept. 2020
I applied online then about a month later was contacted to begin training in about 3 days time. When I was unable to attend at such short notice I then received an email requesting references as soon as possible. At that point I submitted references and then got confirmation that all references at been received. I then was asked to fill out a form regarding interest and availability. I was then contacted for an interview and had it the following week. The interviewer was kind but seemed completely unaware of my actual application. During the interview I had to correct him on the job I had applied for (I had applied for a part-time and he was giving me information regarding a full-time position), he requested references which I had to correct him and let him know mine had already been contacted, and he asked me to fill out the form I had already filled out. I was not impressed by the order of the request for information nor the preparation of the interviewer. Following the interview, I was never contacted for the job and when I sent a follow-up email, that was ignored. Others I know who got the job were asked to fill out a Glassdoor review so I thought it only fair I did as well.

I met in person, and they asked general questions about what type of volunteer position I was looking for and what my career goals were. Super simple. Need a criminal record check done and some references. Lasted about 45 minutes!
- How do you deal with conflict?

The process was quick and relatively straightforward. The whole process took approximately 2 months (from applying to start date). Everyone was kind and informative regarding my various questions. The interview process itself included a phone screening, a skills test, and then an in-person one-hour interview. VCH was quick to offer me employment (verbally), although it took two weeks to receive an official offer letter with pay rate. Given the COVID situation, I was pleasantly surprised at the timeliness of the whole process, especially considering so many places aren't even bothering to send status updates on applications.
- A clinician has been away for several weeks; a father has called to complain that his daughter has not received the care he expects. How do you respond to this situation?

Two interviews via Zoom. The first was 30 minutes with other team members including an Executive Assistant, a Project Manager and the outgoing person from the role. The second interview was 30 minutes with the Director of the team.
- The opening question was to tell them a little bit about myself
