The interview was a group interview, they pretty much ask you questions about your experience, how you’ve dealt with difficult guest, how have you gone above and beyond, how well do you work with others... so make yourself look good & show them you can a great team player, i was offered the job. But my background didn’t pass, i have no criminal background but my credit isn’t the best. I tried to find out what it was in my background that didn’t pass ( i don’t do drugs) & i kept getting transferred to different departments who can’t answer my questions. It’s upsetting i cant get an answer.

Went to the group interview and was chosen for the one on one, had my one on one and was great. I liked the front desk operations manager a lot and talked about receiving the drug test information. I have yet to receive that information.

I applied online 6/12, was called on 6/14 to attend a group interview on 6/18. I was selected for a 2nd interview with the department on 6/19. During my 2nd interview, I was told the Director was very impressed with me during my group interview and she also assured me I would receive an email later that day with more information about moving forward with the hiring process. A few hours after my interview, I receive my offer letter with more information to submit for my background check and drug test. I completed all of the requested documents and waited to receive my appointment for my drug test. I took my drug test the morning of 6/22. Not even 2 hours after my drug test, I receive a call from "front desk management" letting me know they want to move forward with my onboarding(meaning I passed the background and drug test). She informed me about the onboarding I would attend on Monday, 6/25 and sent me more information about training and uniform fitting. Of course I was extremely excited at this point to start my new position. The very next day, 6/22. I was contacted by another "front desk management employee" saying that they have to hold off with my onboarding and training until my background and drug test clear. Right then and there I knew something was sketchy. I asked her what happened( since I already received information for my training) she said there was "miscommunication between management." Hearing that made me feel discouraged because they sounded SO eager to have me start right away. This same lady said she would keep me updated and would take a week to hear back about the clearance of background and drug test. I wait it out, anxious to hear back. Come monday morning, 6/25, I receive a voicemail from yet another "front desk management employee" saying they cannot move forward with my application and that they have no other information for me. UM, WHAT? I know I have a clean background and drug test, so why is there no other information as to why they are not moving forward with my application? They gave me absolutely ZERO explanation on why they changed their mind. So much for "Equal opportunity employer" when you can't let someone know the reason behind not hiring them after already receiving on boarding and training information. I am highly disappointed in this company and how their management team "communicates."

Very unprofessional and weirdest interview I’ve ever been to. One man was asking about his account from a financial institution and took a phone call mid interview and never returned. Left me with a woman manager who just sat there and didn’t say much. Very awkward and waste of time

after you apply, you will go in for a group audition. there were about 15 or so people there and the first thing we did was watch a video about cosmo. then we went around the room introducing ourselves, what we applied for, and something interesting or unique. we also had to give examples of the 4 C's; compassion, conscience, community and i forgot the last C. try to talk about all 4 even if you feel your examples arent that great...if you listen to others, you might be able to pick up on some ideas. after that, youll get instructions on the next step and ...that was about it for us. they looked pretty busy that day so they might have cut the audition a bit short.

The group interview was great, the recruiter was knowledgeable. However, when I was invited for a department interview, some of the things I noticed while waiting for my interview was seeing how unwelcoming the front desk agents were. I didn't see any smiles on their faces nor did I felt any enthusiasm of their employees. My interview was at 9 am, and the interviewers were late though they did ask me what did I noticed while I was waiting even though I arrived early already. I was interviewed by the front desk manager and an operation manager. They appeared to be super relaxing and friendly. The lady was extremely unprofessional. They didn't take note about what I answered. They asked whatever questions that came up to their mind, especially the lady. I said I always smile a lot at work, (which is true due to so many coworkers telling me) then she said "Then smile!" Of course I smiled during the interview, but the lady was expecting me to smile NONSTOP! Who can do that?! She also said "In this industry, it's not about what you know, it's who you know!" Obviously she know someone that gave her a manager position. She also kept saying things such as "We are looking for people that can...... ". She said this position is very challenging, you have to do 20 check ins and check outs a day. "We are looking for people that can do that consistently." In every way she talk, she's delivering a messaging that I am not a good fit, I cannot do this, I cannot do that. The operation manager asked me why do you want to work in Las Vegas? Why not China, Hong Kong, Macau?
I got the lady's business card but I didn't care to follow up not because I know I wouldn't be hired, but because their unprofessional behaviors. Sorry, but the lady is DUMB!

Group interview with ice breaker cards. You watch a video and answer questions one by one. Multiple choice question test at the end of the interview. It was overall interesting and not as difficult. They really examine your personality and fit for the company.

Friendly, easy, lots of personal questions. They ask you what have you learned about all the others.
There was a few ladies that didn't speak English and barely spoke during the interview so I guess they ok with it if you're applying for some positions but I felt bad for them

After applying to the position online, I received an email 2 or 3 days later stating I had been invited to participate in an "audition". This audition is held off property and you're asked to verify one of the audition times on their website from which you applied. There were two different dates available, each with two different times (morning/afternoon).

The audition is a group interview, but do not stress. You are asked to arrive 15 minutes early. Upon checking in, you will be given a card with questions on it. As the other candidates show up for this audition, these questions will help break the ice and allow you to feel comfortable speaking to everyone.

You will gather into a small room with chairs and couches in a circle, with one individual from HR leading the interview. It starts by going around the room one by one, introducing yourself, what position you are applying to, and something unique about yourself. There were about 9 individuals in my group, and everyone was applying for a different position. This, combined with the fact that you already talked with everyone and had a few laughs in the 15 minutes prior, really helped take the pressure off. I felt as if I knew everyone and wasn't competing for the job, which made everything go smoother.

You begin by watching a video and then will be asked questions about the video (what stood out to us) followed by a few other questions. All these questions were asked in general to the group, so you are not put on the spot - you can answer when you are ready. There did seem to be a certain order in which individuals answered, usually the same people speaking up immediately and the same few answering last. I don't believe order necessarily matters, but don't be shy and wait on everyone else. I feel it is more about how you communicate and present yourself. Most individuals seemed to only speak directly to the HR worker. I made sure I looked around and the room at everyone, not just HR, while I spoke. I'm not sure if this mattered, but I felt it showed I was comfortable speaking with everyone and instead of focusing only to HR. Again, I feel there is a reason the first interview is done in a group.

After watching two videos and answering questions asked by HR, you are given a short, multiple choice quiz that was maybe 5 questions. Read them carefully - they're all "what would you do" scenarios. All the answers were right, but some are better than others.

About 2 days later, I received a call from the Department Manager about coming in for another interview, this one though, was on property. I was interviewed by the department manager and director.

It was a pretty standard interview. Questions about what I knew of the Cosmopolitan, do I feel prepared, what is my 5 year goal etc. Overall it went very good, but there were some questions I wish I had answered better.

I was told in this interview that the position wouldn't be starting for sometime, and if that was alright with me. (It was).

Although I kept reminding myself they said it would be awhile to start, I was expecting to hear back relatively soon whether I was hired or not.. especially because the time frame from applying to the audition to 2nd interview was a matter of a few days.

About a month later after thinking I didn't get it, I received a phone call from the department manager I interviewed with and was offered the job.
