The hiring is a multi step process. First you fill out an online application, then someone will contact via telephone over the next sixty days. The questions they ask are similar to any other kind of interview, are the familiar with the company, do you shop at the store, what are your goals, if hired how long would you be looking to work here for. I would advise researching the products and the culture that the container store has employed throughout its business. TCS (The Container Store) wants people who are hard working, think outside the box, but most importantly are flexible, work hard and willing to work at for a long time. The company invest heavily in its employees training wise so it would problematic if the company had high turnover. Make it clear to the person conducting the phone interview that you are interested in a career with TCS. Next up is the group interview which you could be with anywhere from 4-11 additional people. You are shown a series of videos from TCS founders and management. Good advice is to be vocal take notes because their are questions at the end. You definitely want to stand out in a good way e.g. let your personality shine and show that you are passionate. Once you pass the group interview you have a one one interview with a store manager. This interview is not as competitive as the group interview. The store manager asks you more of the same questions that asked before. They also give you more insight into the company and share what some of your potential job responsibilities could be. If you give the manager good answers, and have some well thought questions yourself, you could be given a job offer then. If not then someone should be contacting you within 10 days to give you an offer. This job offer is pending you pass a drug test usual the day of or the next day. So avoid yourself the embarrassment and stay drug free for at least six months prior. This is pretty much it, good luck in your job search
