    I interviewed for an HRBP Analyst role. I applied online and received an email to set up a phone screening a week later. The call was supposed to be 30 min. The recruiter was 20 min late because of a meeting. Instead of rescheduling, she tried to rush through the questions, which caused her to make mistakes and sound all over the place. For instance, she asked me "why I'm trying to leave my job right now?" when on my resume it clearly shows that I left my role a couple of months ago. I asked her if the position was non-exempt/exempt, and she started answering as if I asked another question. It was a little odd, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

    Here's my problem: In the job description (JD), the role was described as a traditional HR Analyst/Coordinator role in terms of the responsibilities; however, everything she described sounded like an assistant role. Now, sometimes, some duties are not listed on the JD for various reasons. My issue was that she made it seem like supporting this executive was a big part (50% or more) of this person's job, yet it was nowhere on the description. She mentioned a lot of calendar management, making and answering calls for the executive, etc. That should be on the job description. I withdrew from the role by the end of the call because that's not what I signed up for. I would not have applied if I knew this prior.

    I emailed her afterward to clarify if this was the right JD for the role she described because I was genuinely confused. She responded the next day that "it was," and seemed annoyed & dismissive. Hours later, I got a rejection email, even though I withdrew from the position the day prior. Maybe executive assistant duties are typical for HR Analyst roles in investment firms, but I think the JD should be updated to reflect that. Based on my experience with the recruiter, I will not apply here again.

    I met a recruiter at a career fair and got an on-campus interview and then got a Superday invitation at BXI in New York. The Superday was 4 interviews and lunch, and all questions were behavioral/design related.

    I wasn't a candidate who would be at the cream of the crop of the candidate pool, so I got interviewed about 3 months after I applied on their website. I had a Zoom chat with one of the Associates and felt the interview went positively, but I never heard back even after I sent a few follow-up emails.

    First round video interview was very technical. There were very few behavioral questions past tell me about yourself. The technical questions were reasonable but fairly specific on formulas. Make sure you know recent deals that Blackstone has worked on.

    Met at school career fair, first round interview on campus, final round Superday interview at Blackstone Innovations office in NYC. Both interviews consisted of behavioral questions and a design portion.

    The Superday was six hours in total - mostly lectures/Q&A with other interviewees and current employees. There were 2 hours of actual interviews, and the team took us out to lunch.
