I initially scheduled a call with a recruiter, they were experiencing technical difficulties so we had to reschedule for another slot. We finally connected for all of 11-13 minutes during what was supposed to be a “20-Minute Conversation”. She asked two questions pertaining to availability and experience and rushed to end the call. 12 days later I received a rejection email.

    There are a few steps to the interviewing process. I was contacted by a recruiter via email a little less than a week after i applied where i had to complete a writing simple with very basic customer service interactions and give my responses. After sending my responses, i was contacted via email the following day to setup a phone interview where we did a customer service interaction role play, if that goes well you’ll move on to an in person interview which i did. In the in person interview, i met with 3 interviewers total. Everyone was extremely nice & friendly 90% of the questions are situation based where you should answer in the STAR method, the questions weren’t intense at all. I personally was just extremely nervous and drew a blank so i did struggle a lot lol . So my advice is to think of all possible situational experiences that relate to customer success and solving problems for customers! Be confident in your answers and have a positive attitude and you’ll do great :)

    I applied online and within a week or so I had a call set up with a talent recruiter. They made me complete a writing sample via email and then we discussed via a scheduled phone call about some of the basics of my resume / experience and the role expectations. The next step is a mock call with assisting a customer with an technical issue and if it all goes well then a onsite interview will be scheduled.

    As any in person interview goes, be prepared for the situational questions and remember to just be yourself when responding but keeping the customer service factor in mind first. If the onsite interview goes great, then expect an offer email and follow feedback call from your recruiter. Hands down, from beginning to end, I had a wonderful interview and recruiting process!!!

    I applied for a customer success advocate position for Square. About a week after I applied I got an email to complete a writing assessment. After the assessment, I had a mock call with a recruiter, which I had to reschedule because the recruiter never called me, which was unprofessional. During the face to face interview, I interviewed with 4 different managers who worked for square. After the interview I was told I would receive feedback from the interview, if I didn’t get an offer. I haven’t heard anything else since, which I feel was also unprofessional.

    I applied online and was contacted a week later to submit a writing sample. I returned the writing sample within an hour of receiving the prompt, and heard back the following week to complete a mock call. I thought the mock call went really well, I had thoroughly reviewed the material they gave me for it beforehand. It wasn’t awkward for me at all, although the person I was doing it with repeatedly stated that “these things are always awkward.” I felt we had a good flow. After the call ended, the person I spoke with told me to keep an eye on my email for the recruiting team to contact me. I emailed the recruiter I had been in contact with two days after the mock call thanking them for the opportunity for the mock call. Then, they completely ghosted me. In the future, feedback or notice of rejection would be wonderful, especially for a company that claims to value comprehensive customer service. Why aren’t they able to provide similar respect to their clients and prospective employees?

    I applied for the position and totally forgot about it because they didn’t contact me until about close to 2 months later. First step of the process was to do sample questions, to judge how accurate and detailed you are in written form. I responded to the sample questions in less than the time required, received notification maybe 2 days later that they loved my sample questions responses and wanted to proceed to the next step. I received two messages telling me the next step would be to get my availability so that a mock call could be set up with a Customer Success Advocate once a Recruiting Coordinator aligned someone to match my availability. All of this was provided by the same recruiter who initially contacted me. I provided my availability and then was completely GHOSTED. I sent multiple emails to reconfirm and received no further response.
