Entretien

Great fast paced company and it appears there is lots of opportunity as they are building an online empire fast. Very casual atmosphere and very nice people. Lots of different divisions that appear to be autonomous.

    J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Rue Gilt Groupe en avril 2012.

    Entretien

    I had connected with a VP who initially offered a 1:1 interview directly, then went back and I had to go through HR. It was 2 weeks before I was asked to interview, then 2 weeks after the interview before I was offered a position - and it's been a week since anything further has been discussed.

    I had a phone screening with a recruiter, then a second phone screening with a department head, then asked to interview 1:1. For that interview, I met with 6 people and it lasted over 3 hours. This was for a newly created position, no incumbent. The department head (hiring manager) told me requirements of the role, and then the art directors told me they didn't want the role created. Surprisingly candid and disorganized. Overall, I wasn't tested in any way, but asked the same questions about skill set, experience, and it was not very challenging. There doesn't seem to be a solid workflow in place.

    Raison du refus

    They decided to not create the role, and offered a lower ranking position, but I have yet to hear any details about what that entails. Disappointing because all this disorganization could be remedied by the creation of the original job to create the necessary standards and guidelines they're lacking.
